Kwame Michael Remy was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His passion for music and the arts began at the tender age of three with his very first church solo “This Little light of mine”. In church is where he began to develop his gift and the lyrics to his first solo became his roadmap for success. Kwame has performed all over the world as a Vocalist/Entertainer and Musical Theater performer. He is known for his soulful voice, range and infectious energy. In 2018, Kwame appeared on the 60th Annual Grammy Awards with Sam Smith and was the 2017 winner of Broadway World’s Best Featured Actor in aMusical Award for his portrayal of “James Thunder Early” in Dreamgirls.

Kwame has appeared in numerous National and International touring productions of Broadway hit musicals such as Smokey Joe’s Café, Jesus Christ Superstar, Five Guy’s Named Moe and has starred in the London and Holland productions of the Motown and Staxx Records Soul revue Solid Gold Soul. He appeared on Broadway as a featured vocalist in Linda Eder’s Christmas Stays The Same at The Gershwin Theater in NYC with the Broadway Gospel Choir. He was the opening act for numerous R&B artist including Grammy and Tony nominated recording artist Elisabeth Withers-Mendes. Kwame has headlined at some of New York’s hottest venues including Joe’s Pub, The Metropolitan Room, 54 Below, Café Wha?, Groove and Village Underground. He has shared the stage with artist such as CeCe Peniston, Mary J. Blige, Andrea Bocelli and Bebe Winans to name a few. Throughout his career, he has been invited to performed for luminaries such as Oprah Winfrey and The Late Pope John Paul II at The Vatican for the Christmas At The Vatican Telecast. As a songwriter and recording artist he has released several songs including “Feel’s Like Heaven”, “FEAR” for DJ Vivid and “Love Will Find A Way” which topped the European Dance/House charts. Kwame’s cabaret act is Musical/Theatrical celebration of the old and new. He seamlessly blends Top 40, Contemporary Broadway, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Soul into an evening of fun and entertainment for all ages.
